The Lifespan Continuum
The managed child, later. The same person is worked on across a whole life by the same apparatus.
The frame
The enactment rail does not end at childhood. The person scheduled by Holt, normed by Gesell, and reassured by Spock is later sold to as a child (the deregulated toy-cartoon) and, grown, is fed a standardized story by an industry that bought a screenwriting formula. One audience, one symbol-system, cradle to grave. This is a lens, not a mechanism: it lines up documented facts — the child-conditioning industries and the adult-narrative industries — so their continuity is visible.
Held-open / discard
This is a framing device, not a documented claim of transmission. It asserts no hidden hand joining the nursery to the multiplex; it only holds them in one view. Read as a lens it clarifies; read as a causal chain it would overreach, and it is not offered as one.
Role in the thesis
The lifespan lens: how the root’s management of the young extends, in the same industries and the same person, past the age of consent.
