Order of the Star in the East

The idiom made operational. Founded by Besant in April 1911; dissolved by its own Head in 1929.1

Documented core

Unlike the other three idioms, the World-Teacher current built an actual institution — the Order of the Star in the East — to prepare for and house an administered divine-child. Krishnamurti was its Head; Besant and Leadbeater its Protectors. Its founding and its dissolution are equally on the record.

Role in the thesis

The clearest evidence that the articulation was not merely literary: for eighteen years it was an organization. And the clearest evidence it was no chain: it collapsed from inside, by the choice of the child it was built around.
