Alice Bailey

The Hierarchy idiom. Bailey broke from Theosophy and built her own institutional current.12

Documented core

With Foster Bailey she incorporated the organization that became Lucis Trust (1922) and founded the Arcane School (1923). Her doctrine of an initiated Hierarchy guiding humanity toward a planned unity, served by trained disciples, is rule-by-elect in the most fully esoteric idiom — and the one that built the most durable institutions.

Held-open / discard

The organization’s first name, Lucifer Publishing Company (1922), is a documented fact and a favorite of conspiracy sources; it referred to the Theosophical “light-bearer” usage and is not evidence of a hidden cabal. The schism from Besant’s Theosophy is a documented break, cited so the current is not mistaken for a chain.

Role in the thesis

Articulation. Bailey names the impulse — an elect administering human evolution — in its purest esoteric form, held apart from the sociology as testimony, never routed into it as cause.
