The Only Planet of Choice

The root in the channeled idiom — a hidden council of nine steering humanity toward a chosen destiny, believed and printed.1

Documented core

The Only Planet of Choice: Essential Briefings from Deep Space was channelled through Phyllis V. Schlemmer and compiled by Palden Jenkins (Gateway Books, 1993) — the best-known published gathering of the transmissions attributed to “the Nine” (or Council of Nine, spokesperson “Tom”), the discarnate intelligence first contacted in Andrija Puharich’s circle in the 1950s (see Lab Nine / Round Table Foundation). Its doctrine is, once again, the whole thesis in a further register: a superior hidden council that has watched over and guides human evolution toward a planned end, with Earth named “the only planet of choice” — free will granted, but stewarded from above.

Under the project’s evidence bar for the esoteric current, the book is its own primary for what it says, and the belief it records is the gradeable datum — this is the current that says out loud what the institutions do quietly. The book, and the belief it records, stand documented.

Held-open / discard

What the book claims about reality is not granted fact. That “the Nine” are real extraterrestrials or the Egyptian Ennead (“Tom” glossed as Atum) is apocryphal, held as the text’s own claim, never asserted true. And the causal readings the material attracts — that the Nine directed Star Trek, or NASA, or the CIA — are discarded under S-5: the documented record around the sessions (Gene Roddenberry attended and wrote an unproduced screenplay; the participant network; the genre influence) is attendance and influence, not a channeled intelligence steering institutions. The racial-seeding cosmology in the transcripts is carried as belief-content only, never endorsed and never routed into a bloodline claim (the hard-sourcing rule).

Role in the thesis

The esoteric-dispersal register (map-node 4.3): the latest and most literal channeled restatement of the root — administrable humanity guided toward a chosen end by a superior council. A symptom and an articulation of the century’s appetite for a guiding hidden elect, printed and sold; never a cause, and never a chain into any institution.
